Attorney Donald Wyatt has just
under 30 years of active practive experience. He has appeared in State and Federal Courts, Administraive and ancillary
proceedings in 10 states and 5 federal districts. He has personal experience both in and out of the legal profession
in business and financial management, mergers and acquisitions, and estate management. He has recovered judgments and
reached settements in numerous multi-million dollar cases and has extensive experience trying cases in both State and Federal
Courts to Judges and Juries. He has handled Reorganization cases for a variety of businesses and profesional practices
with sales of up to $64,000,000.00. He has represented creditors in Bankruptcy and successfully recovered over $4,000,000.00
in payments to his clients.
Attorney Stephen N. Gracey joined the firm in 2008 and became a director
in 2011. Steve holds advanced degrees in both law and environmental studies. He served on the University of Texas
Law School Environmental Law Review. Steve has ten years experince in a broad range of legal endeavors. He caught
the insolvency bug in 2008 and found a practice home. Steve largely handles capacity issues, due diligence, document
creation, execution and registration, and all aspects of the Medicaid Eligibility process.
Attorney Krista Albregts
joined the firm as an associate in July 2011. She is a gradute of the South Texas College of Law where, in addition
to the general course of study, she focused on Bankruptcy and Intellectual Property. She holds an undergradute degree
in Molecular and Cellular Biology, a field she worked in before attending Law School. Krista handles Consumer Bankruptcy
cases and consults with senior counsel on Patent, Copyright, Trademark and other intellectual propery issues in and out of
a Bankruptcy context.
Our Bankruptcy paralegal, Shirley Stubbs, has Bachelors degrees in Geology and
Business Administration and has several years of focused experience in Bankruptcy. Shirley worked for leading Bankruptcy
attorneys in The Woodlands as well as Houston and has comprehensive hands on experience in every aspect of bankruptcy case
management.
Our Elder Law paralegal, Paula Piano, joined the firm after moving south from
Minnesota. She has developed a comprehensive understanding of Medicaid case processing and procedures and has mastery
of the information systems at her disposal to organize the volumes of materials developed in the Due Diligence phase of each
Elder Law and Estate Planning engagement.
Our Receptionist, Li Bartkus, is a Texas native with
years of experience working in law offices. She also has extensive hands on experience in construction having grown
up in a construction family.
We are not a high volume practice. We believe that doing a limited number of
cases as well as possible is more rewarding, more successful and better for the client and the firm.
